Why should ASM, especially a local Chapter, be concerned about membership?

ASM is an information-sharing network of people. The Society's resources are the collective technical  skills and knowledge of its members. More members mean more information, interaction and better access to new developments and technologies.

Specifically, new members for the chapter means:
