Heat Treating Society Committees
Committee Purpose
The Heat Treating Progress Editorial Committee shall recommend articles that will be of interest to members of the ASM Heat Treating Society, suggest authors, as well as recommend new departments and their authors. Assist in the acquisition of and/or contribute articles and other editorial material, and recommend new committee members.
Committee Purpose
To nominate candidates that are representative of commercial and captive heat treaters; users of heat treating; suppliers of materials supplies and equipment; researchers, educators and government agencies involved in heat treating for the positions of president, vice president, and members of the Heat Treating Society Board as well as the development and recommendation of awards to be given by the Heat Treating Society.

Thermal Spray Society Committees
Committee Purpose
The purpose of the Accepted Practices Committee on Mechanical Properties is to develop and to make known practices of various elements of thermal spray technology. This includes the collection of information, the unbiased evaluation of this information, the generation of useful accepted practices, achieving consensus within the committee, approval of the ASM TSS Board, and publication of the final practices.

Committee Purpose
The Journal of Thermal Spray Technology Committee shall identify major trends and developments in thermal spray technology and aid the JTST editor in manuscript acquisition in order to present timely and significant reviewed information to subscribers. The committee shall also maintain continual surveillance of the publication for technical quality, currentness, and fulfillment of stated scope, and shall recommend changes to better meet subscriber needs.

Membership, Marketing and Outreach (MM&O) Committee Purpose: Based on the TSS vision, the MM&O Committee shall develop an overall marketing and pricing strategy resulting in a product and service concept and public relations programs to enhance the image of the thermal spray industry. It shall also grow the Society membership, increase member satisfaction, and implement programs in cooperation with other committees to achieve an overall positive financial contribution.
