Committee Purpose
The mission of the committee is to provide forums for technical information exchange and to develop an infrastructure to promote and facilitate interaction between members and constituents who are part of, or who identify with the aerospace industry. The technical scope includes materials, processes, and related technologies of commercial and military air transport, other high speed transport sectors, and space and defense technologies.

Committee Purpose
To communicate the challenging nature of the materials issues that face the Utilities industry, and the overall importance to the global economy; to provide needs-oriented programming, especially from the user community, for the Energy and Utilities industries represented within the ASM membership, especially those whose job functions are: concerned with performance of materials in the utility, as well as materials performance impact on costs; associated with the manufacture of equipment for the utilities, especially selection and specification of materials: contracting to the utility industry for repair and refurbishment during the lifetime of the primary equipment; applicable to supply and development materials (i.e., provide to OEM and to contractors and maintenance/refurbishment activities); research addressing fundamentals of materials properties for utilities' concerns.

Committee Purpose
To provide a forum for the dissemination, discussion, and transfer of the latest research and development results in the areas of synthesis and processing of advanced electronic and structural materials including melting, casting, sintering, joining, and hot andcold working including thermomechanical treatments.
