HTS/Bodycote Best Paper in Heat Treating Contest
The ASM Heat Treating Society established the Best Paper in Heat Treating Award in 1997 to recognize a paper that represents advancement in heat treating technology, or promotes heat treating in some substantial way or represents a clear advancement in managing the business of heat treating. Undergraduate Design Competition
Based on submission of design-focused project reports describing work performed as part of the capstone course or a team project performed by undergraduate engineering students at any level.
Recognizing the diversity of design curricula in materials and related engineering departments, a broad definition of "design" is considered for this competition.

Projects submitted can address topics including:

• design of a material
• design of a process for materials synthesis or fabrication
• selection of materials in design of products or devices
