Electronic Device Failure Analysis Society Board 2007 - 2008

Recently EDFAS President Daniel Barton and Vice President Christian Boit resigned their Board positions due to changes in their jobs. Since the EDFAS operating procedures do not directly address this situation a Steering Committee of previous EDFAS Board members and ASM officers was formed.

The Board unanimously accepted the Steering Committee’s recommendations as follows:

• Immediate Past President Gary Shade has agreed to serve as President until August 2008 (filling the remainder of Dan’s term).

• Nominations were solicited from the Board for Vice President and Tracy Myers was selected from those eligible, and will serve until August 2008, when he will succeed to the Presidency,

• Nominations were solicited from the Board for Secretary and Lee Knauss was selected from those eligible.

• The Board is currently selecting a candidate from the EDFAS membership-at-large to fill the vacant Board position.
