This list of US national thermal-spray standards has been compiled by Bob Sulit, as one of the activities of the Thermal Spray Society's Information Development and Delivery Committee. This listing includes those currently published and in-preparation for the United States. Each listing includes the title, number, issue date, abstract, publication (or preparation) organization, and availability. Published standards are available from the hyperlink address.

Safety Guidelines

Prepared by the ASM-TSS Safety Guidelines Committee, these documents provide practical recommendations for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment used in the thermal spray process.

Accepted Practices

Procedures for evaluating residual stresses in thermal spray coatings using a modified layer removal method. Dimensions of the test specimens, equipment needed, procedure for applyings gages, procedures for removing layers, and methods for interpreting the data.
